Ajay Shah Biography

Ajay Shah is an Indian venture capitalist and entrepreneur. In 1989, he co-founded Smart Modular Technologies, where he worked as CEO until the company went public. In 2003, Shah established Shah Management, and the year after, he founded Shah Capital Partners. Shah is best known for his work as Managing Partner of SCP, where he worked with Soletron’s technology solutions business. Shah is also a well-known technology speaker who focuses on engineering and venture capital.

Shah was awarded the Silicon Valley Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997 and he holds engineering degrees from both the University of Baroda and Stanford. Shah serves on a number of corporate and organizational boards, including the KQED Broadcasting board, The Indian School of Business Board, and as a Trustee of the American India Foundation.
