Alex Klein Biography

Alex Klein is a designer, technology speaker, and computer engineer. He is the co-founder of Kano, but he didn’t always start with a focus on technology. In fact, Klein graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in philosophy and politics. He started off working as a reporter and he has had pieces printed in The New Republic, New York Magazine, and The Times. Klein decided to make a change when his seven year old cousin asked him to make a computer that was “as fun and simple as Legos.”

Klein raised $1.5 million for Kano in 2013 after he started a Kickstarter for the project. When it was all said and done, Klein had raised $45 million for the project, and he made the Forbes 30 Under 30 for Europe.
