Alfred Lin Biography

Alfred Lin is a partner at Sequoia Capital and a former executive at Zappos. While at the shoe company Zappos, Lin was the number two executive and worked directly with Amazon as the ecommerce giant acquired Zappos. Lin helped integrate Zappos into the Amazon ecosystem. At Sequoia Capital, Lin represents the company on a number of boards, including on the boards of AirBnB, DoorDash, Houzz, and Humble Bundle. Lin is also a technology speaker who believes in the power of technology and finance to find new solutions to economic problems.

Lin holds a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s degree from Stanford in Statistics.
