Amir Nashat Biography

Amir Nashat works at the Polaris Boston office as the managing director. He began working at the company in 2002. Nashat’s work focuses on healthcare investments. In addition to his work at Polaris, Nashat also works with MIT as a Catalyst of the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation, and also as with the Partners Innovation Fund. Nashat has served on a number of boards, including on the Board of the New England Venture Capital Association. He holds a Ph.D. from MIT and was a Hertz Fellow in Chemical Engineering during his time at the institution. He also holds degrees from the University of California Berkeley, as both his MS and BS in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering were obtained from the university.
