Aneesh Chopra Biography

Annesh Chopra is a business executive based out of the United States. He was appointed by former President Barack Obama as the country’s first Chief Technology Officer and he served from May of 2009 until February of 2012. Chopra also served under Virginia’s former Governor Tim Kaine, as the state of Virginia’s Secretary of Technology. Chopra has been in charge of a number of government programs and initiatives, including the White House’s Strategy for American Innovation in 2011 and Startup America, another White House program from the same year. He also campaigned for Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor position in 2013, but he was defeated by then State Senator Ralph Northam. Chopra gives technology speeches on the power of technology when operating inside of government regulatory guidelines.
