Ayah Bdeir Biography

Ayah Bdeir created the littleBits platform. littleBits is an open source system of several modular circuits that “snap together” with the help of magnets. The circuits are preassembled. Bdeir received a master’s degree from the MIT Media Lab, and holds undergraduate degrees in computer engineering and sociology from American University in Beirut. Bdeir has taught at several institutions including New York University and Parsons. Bdeir is known for teaching workshops on engineering to non-technical audiences. Bdeir also gives technology speeches on how engineering and technology must work together. Bdeir founded the karaj Beirut lab for experimental technology and architecture development.
