Ben Kacyra is an innovator and technology specialist. His hometown of Mosul, Iraq makes him unique among other founders and innovators based out of Silicon Valley. Kacyra founded the nonprofit CyArk in 2002 in order to find an application for a highly accurate portable laser scanning technology that he had developed. Kacyra decided to make use of the technology after the Taliban destroyed Buddist artifacts in Afghanistan in 2001.
