Eduardo Strauch is an artist, architect, writer and speaker. In the mid-2000s, he wrote a book detailing his harrowing flight across the Andes Mountains in 1972. His flight crashed, and only 16 of the 45 members of the plane were ultimately rescued. Strauch and the other passengers were stranded in the Andes Mountains for over 70 days, at an altitude of over 3,500 meters and in temperatures of below 30 degrees. Strauch stayed silent about the ordeal for over 30 years, but has begun writing about the experience in his older age.
