Jack Ma Biography

Jack Ma is a noteworthy businessman and the owner of Alibaba Group. He was also the CEO and the Group’s chairman for more than a decade, and during that time, Ma was in-charge of the company’s development ever since it started its operations in 1999. However, on May 10th, 2013, he gave up his position as the company’s CEO, but he is currently the chairman of the Group, and he remains devoted in managing the Group’s business plans and growth. Jack Ma is a graduate in English at the Hangzhou Teacher’s Institute, and he now works with SoftBank Corporation – which is one of the biggest information conglomerate headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, Jack Ma is one of the directors of the Huayi Brothers Media Corp – a business group that has featured on Shenzen Stock Exchange.

In 2009, Jack Ma was made a partner ofChina’s Nature Conservancy plan, and he later became one of its co-directors in 2010. Meanwhile, he was later made the Head of directors of the Nature Conservancy plan in 2013. Ma also became an executive in the Life Science Foundation in Sept 2013.
