Jim McCann Biography

Born on 26th of October 1944 Dulin, Republic of Ireland, and lived till 5th March 2015, he died in Goatstown, Republic of Ireland. He was an Irish entertainer and a folk musician. He was also a member of the folk group the Dubliner from 1974 till 1979, later on, he appears with them in their 2002 reunion and their 50th-anniversary tour I year 2012. He studied Medicine in University College Dublin, and then in 1964 he became interested in folk music, and began his performance, he performed in folk clubs area, and later in 1965, he joined a group called the Ludlow Trio. He performed with Vocals, Guitar. He continues his performance, and recorded music as a solo artist, also viewed in many television shows and achieving success with his albums, and also some singles.It was on The McCann Man that he met his fellow artist Luke Kelly who was with the Dubliners. They both performed side by side in the original cast of Jesus Christ Superstar in 1973.
