Larry Sanger is known for his prodigious ability as an Internet project developer, particularly in the online encyclopedia space. His most noted accomplishments include co-founding Wikipedia and founding Citizendium. Sanger was also the founding editor-in-chief at Citizendium and the editor-in-chief of Nupedia. At Nupedia, he came up with the early plans for Wikipedia by developing their method for article creation by implementing wikis. Many of the original Wikipedia policies came directly from Sanger.
